Hired Automobiles – Non-Owned Vehicle Liability Insurance

Damage to Property (Automobiles) in Charge of Assured. The Property Damage coverage provided under the Hired Car endorsement may be extended to cover the named assured’s liability in excess of $100 for each accident, for damage as the result of an accidental collision or upset involving hired cars while they are under his custody or control. The premium for this general car insurance coverage shall be 50% of the premium charged for the Property Damage coverage on hired cars.

Donated Automobiles. The liability of the named assured for the operation of automobiles not owned or hired by him but used in a funeral procession being conducted under his supervision and control may be covered as follows:

1. Public Liability. The regular Public Liability coverage may be granted in consideration of an additional premium of 5% of the total Liability premium charged for owned automobiles subject to a minimum annual premium of $20.

2. Properly Damage. The regular Property Damage coverage may be granted in consideration of an additional premium of 5% of the total premium charged for the regular Property Damage coverage on owned automobiles subject to a minimum annual premium of $5.

3. Damage to Property (Automobiles) in Charge of Assured. The Property Damage coverage may be extended to cover the named assured’s liability in excess of $100 for each accident, for damage as the result of an accidental collision or upset involving donated cars while they are in a funeral procession. The premium to be charged for this coverage shall be 5% of the total premium charged for the Property Damage coverage on owned automobiles subject to a minimum annual premium of $5.

Any individual, firm or corporation engaged in Cars the business of renting out automobiles of the private passenger type to others without drivers may be insured for Public Liability and Property Damage on a combination garage payroll and driverless earnings basis or on a specified car basis. Under no circumstances may the driverless operations be insured on the earnings basis unless a concurrent garage payroll policy is carried.
